Santa

Landon was very excited to see Santa this year. Santa came to Landon's preschool Christmas carnival and Landon was the first one to sit on his lap. Santa was not quite prepared and forgot to ask Landon what he wanted for Christmas. When we were about ready to leave, Landon became very upset because Santa had not asked him that important question. So, we made a trip back to Santa so he could tell Santa what he wanted. You guessed it, CARS!!!

Snow is Falling

It has finally started to snow here in Idaho. Landon had to hurry outside and play in it.
There is a cute video at the bottom where Landon learns that snow is indeed cold!

Holiday Fun

Layla had a doctor well-visit this past week. She weighed in at 8 pounds 15 ounces. They kept on calling her a little peanut because she is 2 months old. She is less than 3% for height, 5-10% for weight and has average head size, as you can see in this picture.
We went to Winter Garden Aglow at the Botanical Gardens in Boise. Landon loves all the lights.
We all bundled up and walked around the trails through the gardens to enjoy all the colors.

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving this year at Lonnie's parents. This is Colton, Lonnie's nephew, who had just woken up from a siesta.

Here is Mom with Layla, who is taking a siesta.

This is the first dress Layla has worn. She finally is starting to fit into her 0-3 month clothes.

Falling Leaves

Landon has been enjoying the leaves this fall. He helps Daddy make a pile and then dives into the middle.

Lonnie finds Landon very useful in smashing the leaves down within the garbage can. Landon, of course, finds it to be an extremely enjoyable game.

Happy Halloween

We had a good time on Halloween this year. Landon was a frog and Layla was a cow. Landon is now old enough to figure out what trick or treating is all about - CANDY. He had no hesitations going up to doors to get the yummy stuff. Its always been a tradition to trick or treat at Grandma Phylis's house. She's always waiting for us with big bags of candy bars.
Landon ringing the doorbell at his grandparents house.

Layla and Landon

We went to Creatures of the Night in Boise this year at the MK Nature Center. The paths outside were lit up with paper lanterns and jack o lanterns. Landon learned about different mammals, fish, and spiders.

Pumpkin Fun

Layla is posing in her halloween gear. She almost fits into the newborn pants.

We cheated and got different scary faces for Landon to decorate pumpkins this year instead of carving them. Plus, these were pumpkins we grew ourselves and they weren't quite big enough for carving.

Sitting Around with Family

Daddy, Landon and Layla in the lovely, green, 70's model chair in Layla's room. Mommy thinks it's very comfortable though when she's spending some quality time with her baby girl.
Layla is getting bigger and filling out those cheeks! She made a trip to the vet office and weighed in at 6 pounds 6 ounces. Mommy thinks she's pushing 7 pounds now.
Here is the only picture Mommy will let on the site because she's not looking at the camera. You can't see her dark circles or blood shot eyes from the lack of sleep.

Bugs

Here's a Preying Mantis and Katydid my dad found in the yard. I really like to hold bugs!
